Student Winter Olympics
today started off as a bad day ... i don't like public transport at the best of times .. but its worse when you have patronising bus drivers ... but once i was home from uni it all turned out good .. from the discussion of the name 'Laffayette' as a unisex name for a newborn white child - to the making of the SWO [student Winter Olympics] - Charlie the unicorn- Stephen lynch - the llama song - 3 minute mug cake ... this was my day .. and i loved it, my friends are amazing .....
the SWO - started by me getting pushed over [in jest] and refusing to get up - but needing to get downstairs .. i proceeded to crawl downstairs, face first ... a woman knocked on the door wanting money for charity and she couldn't help but make alot of comments at my lame ass stupid attempt to turn around on the stairs, for some reason i thought it might make my journey easier - it didn't ... in the end i made it .. pain free - some thing i am immensely proud of =] .. and so began the Student Winter Olympics ... here is the fb group as written:
THE EVENTS
- Skeleton Bob [crawling forwards down stairs]
- Luge [sliding forwards downstairs]
- Bobsleigh [2 participants in sleeping bag downstairs]
- Figure Skating [2 participate in a creative expression of movement – in slipper socks on the livingroom laminate flooring/kitchen]
- Speed Skating [3 or more participants will, in slipper socks, perform a circuit of the house]
- Curling [2 teams compete by sliding a plate down the hallway, while other team mates, attempt to keep it moving while cleaning the floor as it attempts to move forwards]
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
THERE WILL BE NO DRUGS TESTING THROUGHOUT THE OLYMPIC SEASON, FEEL FREE TO EXPERIMENT WITH PERFORMANCE ENHANCING SUBSTANCES - HOWEVER WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURIES – FATAL INCIDENTS – BREAKAGES [BONES AND BELONGINGS INCLUDED] ANNOYED NEIGHBOURS OR FAILURE OF WORK SUBMISSION THAT MAY OCCUR
[i know its probably one of those things that 'you had to be there' but i think the world needs to see this]
as i said before, i love my friends they make me laugh till im red faced and have sore sides =]

so this is it .. i've given in to the world of blogging .. it probably won't be often and if i'm honest i'll forget i've even started this most of the time but - i needed to see what the fuss is about - or at least find a new way to procrastinate ...
